Job Description
Your role:
You are responsible for planning and executing positioning and navigation tasks and are able to run/lead projects of low to medium complexity;
You ensure the correct offsets, measurements and calibrations of positioning equipment and the set-up and/or operation of survey equipment;
You carry out computations, in-field data processing, compilation of survey reports;
You are responsible for the appropriate QC of data, computations and reports;
You perform administrative duties incl. maintaining an accurate and complete logbook;
You assist with the establishment and compilation of projects procedures.
What you bring along:
You have BSc. degree in e.g. Hydrographic Surveying or Land Surveying;
You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role and are willing to work offshore (fixed 4 week rotations totalling at least 180 days a year);
You have experience with survey equipment such as; USBL calibrations, calibration of a gyrocompass at sea and usage of multibeam, navigation systems, magnetometers, side scan sonars, sesmic systems and online positioning systems;
You previously have been involved in geophysical route surveys, wind farm surveys, pipelay inspection work, dredging etc;
You have a good understanding of computer system hardware;
You have good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken).
