Job Description
The Master is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a vessel, crew management, navigation, operations, cargo administration and paperwork, cost control, crew supervision and on the job training, and making sure that the vessel is in compliance with all international and local laws, as well as any state or company policies.
Job Requirements:
Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
Posses a high school diploma.
Have 1 year or more as a Chief Officer on a similar ship.
Experience on Fugro Vessels is a plus.
Competent, at management level, to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as a master.
Large-scale knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards.
Knowledge of the equipment and procedures he is responsible for.
Experience on Fugro Vessels is a plus.
Valid certificates below are a minimum requirement:
Certificate of Competence for the vessel.
Flag state certificate (STCW’95 Reg. II/2).
Flag state Seaman’s Book.
Flag state Medical certificate.
RADAR/ARPA certificate.
GMDSS General Operator certificate (STCW’95 A-IV/2).
Basic training certificate(STCW’95 PST:A-VI/1-1, BFF:A-VI/1-2, EFA:A-VI/1-3, PSSR:A-VI/1-4).
Proficiency In Survival Craft And Fast Rescue Boats Certificate(A-VI/2).
Advanced Fire Fighting certificate(A-VI/3).
Medical First Aid and Medical Care certificate (A-VI/4).
