Electrical Engineer - Offshore Wind, for COWI in North America

Full-Time Contract Position (2 years)

Furthermore, you should:

Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 10-plus years of electrical power engineering experience and the pursuit of Professional Engineer registration or an existing Professional Engineering license
Have experience with System Integration and control strategy of the power plant and integration with the TSO / ISO system
Be familiar with reviewing and running power flow models like PSS/E or PSCAD
Have experience with the substation design, engineering and commissioning of substations, transmission lines, SCADA, and power distribution facilities, and be able to provide required inputs to the Scada / Systems Integration and P&C groups
Be able to lead advocacy and technical negotiations to facilitate the advancement of Advanced Power’s projects
Have a working knowledge of NERC planning standards
Engineering experience specific to electric utility-scale renewable projects
Working knowledge of Short-Circuit, Low/Medium voltage Coordination, Arc Flash
Have a strong background in power systems studies, steady state as well as transient, dynamic stability, power quality
Responsible for defining main design criteria and functional design requirements of all main HV and MV systems.
