Position Bespoke Tooling Design Engineer

Based in Houston

Working hours 40 hours per week

Closing date 28/02/2023

Main Job Requirements
Experience with a fast response, service-oriented business
Strong understanding of and experience with project and product life cycle
Proficiency with schedule management
Aptitude with developing complex systems
Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
Use technical skills to be able to explain to potential customers the benefits of our products vs. other products
Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
Recommend improved materials or equipment to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production
Previous operational experience in the ROV industry
Experience in Vendor and 3rdParty management
Proficiency in:
Finite element analysis
MathCad (Desirable but not essential)
3D modelling (Autodesk Inventor)
Technical calculations
Materials selection
Structural Design (Desirable but not essential)
Bid support:
Provide technical input and pricing for external tenders
Provide technical input and pricing internally for Subsea 7 tenders
Develop bid documents including story board, operational methodology, and explanation of concept
Communicate with client to understand and respond to clarifications
