Education and Vocation

Vocational education; high school, commercial or shop training, or technical school. On-the-job training; serving as a trainee on the job under the instruction of a qualified worker. Must be able to pass company-specified written and oral exam to qualify as a potential hire.

Position Summary

The electrician installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, and all equipment for electrical services on board ships, vessels, in shipyard facilities, or at remote locations to perform work that is related to shipyard operations.
