The Chief Cooks main function is to provide healthy safe, efficient and cost-effective catering in accordance with the companies procedures, relevant legislation, and the SMS.

To be a Chief Cook in Maersk Supply Service the minimum requirements are
- Basic Firefighting/Firefighting and Fire Prevention
- Cooks Certificate
- Medical Certificate
- Elementary First Aid
- Food Handling & Hygiene
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
- Personal Survival Techniques
- Security Awareness
- Yellow Fever Vaccination
- Hepatitis A Vaccination
