Job Description

Education:                                                                         
HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a related field

Professional Certification(s) or License:
 USCG license which satisfies the COI requirements for the applicable vessel (unlimited license
for all vessels, except the American Empress which is a 500 Ton Master Inland license)
• FCC Marine Radio Operations license
• Radar certification (endorsement necessary as per vessel)
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) – ability to obtain and maintain
• Valid Driver’s License
• Copy of DD214, if Veteran status

Skills & Abilities:
 Must possess leadership qualities with the ability to give employees sound instruction and direction
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; must be fluent in English
• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a pleasant and professional manner
• Must possess leadership qualities with the ability to give employees sound instruction and direction
• High degree of proficiency in hand/eye coordination and depth perception
• Computer literate with skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ship handling & Z Drive experience - preferred

Experience:
Five to ten years of experience in a position with similar duties and responsibilities
Cruise industry experience preferred
