Technician for Offshore O & G Platforms in USA

Job Description

High School diploma, or G.E.D. equivalent, is required.
Graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program is preferred.
3+ years of mechanical experience is required, preferably in energy related industry.
General knowledge of USCG/BSEE/DOT regulations is preferred.
A strong commitment to personal and job safety is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills is required.
Willingness to improve on troubleshooting and maintenance skills is required.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment is required.
Ability to work in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment is required.
Ability to use physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools is required
Ability to climb and work at various heights and work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position is required.
Ability to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs, manually transport a load up to 75 lbs, apply up to 100 foot pounds of torque is required.
Ability to travel in helicopters to offshore platforms and work a 14/14 schedule is required.
