Marine Systems Superintendent for Offshore Drilling Rig (Texas, USA)

Job Description

Coordinate the safe and effective execution of planned and unplanned maintenance working with offshore maintenance personnel as related to DP Systems, Power Generation, Thrusters, Marine Systems and Environmental Systems. Ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE policies and guidelines. Work closely with corporate and regional maintenance teams to establish and support maintenance initiatives. Provide in-house expertise and assistance to rig maintenance crews in troubleshooting efforts of DP and marine electronics systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 10 + years of multi-discipline maintenance activities and execution experience, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry, college or related technical degree preferred.
· 5+ Years working as a Chief Engineer on DP-3 Vessels (unlimited tonnage/HP)
· In-depth knowledge of Class Society requirements as they relate to Marine Systems (DNVGL, ABS, etc.)
· Familiarity with FMEA concepts and their inter-relationship with operational, Class and Flag requirements
· Possess strong leadership skills
· Innovative and a proven problem solver
· Knowledge of DP, Control System Interfaces, and Marine electronics
· Knowledge of the application, design, and maintenance of DP and Control Systems
· Knowledge of Marine Electronics Systems
· Proficient with SAP or similar system
· Familiarity with actual rig or marine offshore operations
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· Willing to travel up to 35% of the time
