Drilling Field Superintendent for Oil&Gas Project (Calgary, Canada)

Job Description

The role of Drilling Field Superintendent is to supervise multiple drilling activities, monitor day to day operations, and liase with local asset support staff such as safety, logistics, construction, facilities, and production ops.

Qualifications:
20+ years of experience in onshore drilling operations with 10+ years focused in supervisory and management roles.
Has worked their way up on a drilling rig (floor hand to rig manager).
Current, valid certification in well control.
Experienced in data management and computer literacy.
Openwells experience required.
Step Seven/BBS Safety Training.
Experience in unconventional operations in Western Canada.

Competencies and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership, has strong communication (both written and verbal), and business skills.
Ability to learn quickly, to work effectively under tight deadlines, has strong attention to detail and works well with others.
Ability to coordinate resolution to sometimes complex issues.
Ability to manage and prioritize workload while managing multiple tasks.
Works well independently and with minimal supervision.
