Job Description
Under general direction from the regional QHSE Advisor and QHSE Manager, the Safety Training Coordinator provides Health, Safety, Environmental and Training (HSET) support for all personnel onboard the installation, and advises the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and department heads in the implementation of the company management system and HSE programs.
Skills & Experience
Available to travel to remote locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
Physically capable of being transported to an offshore rig by boat or helicopter, and to perform emergency procedures including evacuations and fire drills.
Capable of working in a confined marine environment.
Able and willing to conduct inspections throughout the rig environment inclusive of areas of heights.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, excellent team working and organizational skills.
Excellent conflict resolution skills and able to diplomatically handle confrontation.
Committed to high HSE standard, and willing and able to comply with all applicable laws and company’s policies, as well as willing to report safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
Good computer skills and able to use MS Office suites.
