Overall Responsibilities:

Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in the key area of reel-lay engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.
Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include reel packing calculations, specifications, procedures, progress reports, bid evaluations, and study reports.
Originate technical documentation, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.
Provide engineering support during operations with occasional periods offshore or at dock.
Propose offshore vessel schedules, attempting to optimize operational timings
Aware of all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements.
Involved in HAZID studies and TRAs of tasks detailed in the procedures
Interface with associated subsea related disciplines and understands the interfaces within the project environment
Involved with meetings/correspondence with Clients, subcontractors, 3rd parties, etc. in a technical capacity.
Add to the Pipeline Group department lessons learned consolidation
Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Professional qualifications – Degree qualified or above. Preferably in Ocean, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or equivalent
3 to 5 years' experience in design & development of subsea pipeline/flowline projects
Proficiency in design and analysis software is essential
Good knowledge of subsea pipeline engineering, including industry standard codes
Experience in delivering design per API 1111, DNVGL-ST-F101, ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8 codes
Proven proficiency in handling front end engineering design and/or detailed engineering
Experience in EPCIC projects
Experience with sour service pipeline design, a plus but not required
Able to work in teams
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
Ability to prioritize and organize work
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality
Shall be self-motivated and have well developed interpersonal skills
A willingness to travel on short assignments overseas
Can work to deadlines set by management
Desirable Experience, Skills and Knowledge
Membership to a relevant Professional Body
Experience in design, installation and construction of offshore rigid pipelines
Familiarity with recognized industry engineering software
Use of Excel, AGA PRCI, Mathcad, DNV tools and Abaqus software
Familiar with Python and VBA. (not mandatory however is a big plus)
