Job Description

The Main Driller is responsible for the safe operation of the drilling control system, drawworks, pipe handling systems, mud circulating systems, and BOP equipment in accordance with the requirements specified in the operating procedures, the drilling program and the Drilling Section Leader/Night Toolpusher or Tourpusher’s instructions.

Experience:
◾ Minimum 4 years of experience as Assistant Driller
Certification Requirements:
◾ Training according to training matrix
◾ IWCF Well Control Surface and Subsea, level 3 certificate
Additional Skills:
◾ Proficient in safety management principles
◾ Computer literate and conversant with computer based control systems
◾ Good verbal and writen English skills
◾ Proficient in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
◾ Knowledge of all technical calculations required for safe drilling operations
